La Cooperativa de Producción Agropecuaria -CPA- Dagoberto Rojas en el municipio Calimete, Matanzas, agrupa 128 socios, de ellos 27 son jóvenes y reciben especial atención. Por esa razón, no son pocos los que llegan a cumplir su servicio social aquí, y se quedan.
Tal es el caso del Técnico Agrónomo Jesús Lázaro Reyes Ramírez, tiene 20 años de edad, e integra este colectivo hace 7 meses.
“Me siento muy a gusto aquí, me desempeño como técnico, cuando estamos en la cosecha de caña garantizo su análisis para comprobar rendimientos y pérdida de cosecha, hago todo lo que se necesite”.
Otro joven que llegó para quedarse es Julio Ramírez Rodríguez, Jefe del Huerto Intensivo, de referencia nacional.
Esta cooperativa mantiene vínculos con los politécnicos agroindustriales y logra que un gran número de los estudiantes cumpla su etapa de servicio social en la entidad.
El protagonismo juvenil en el movimiento productivo permitió que la cooperativa alcanzara la sede del Evento Provincial de Jóvenes campesinos, celebrado recientemente.
Esta CPA, de producción cañera, es rentable desde su fundación en 1981y Vanguardia Nacional desde el año 2000.
