El historiador de La Habana, Eusebio Leal, impartió una conferencia magistral en la universidad parisina de La Sorbona con el título: ”Para no olvidar: una memoria de la restauración del Centro Histórico de La Habana”.
Durante la disertación, el prestigioso intelectual realizó una síntesis de la formación histórica de la identidad cultural cubana y de la riqueza multicultural de la nación.
Asimismo, se refirió a los trabajos de restauración del Centro Histórico de la capital cubana y al impacto social de las obras de conservación del patrimonio cultural de la urbe, que celebrará su aniversario 500, en noviembre próximo.
El historiador expresó su convicción sobre el compromiso de las generaciones futuras de cubanos con la preservación de lo más genuino de la cultura cubana, como núcleo de nuestras aspiraciones de justicia social.
La conferencia fue organizada por el Grupo de Investigaciones Interdisciplinarias sobre las Antillas Hispanas y América Latina (GRIAHAL) y el Centro de Investigaciones Interdisciplinarias sobre el Mundo Ibérico Contemporáneo (CRIMIC), en el marco de la Semana de América Latina y el Caribe en Francia.
A la cita asistieron la embajadora de Cuba ante la Unesco, Dulce Maria Buergo, y el embajador de Cuba en Francia, Elio Rodríguez, mientras en el auditorio se encontraban presentes políticos, diplomáticos, profesores, investigadores y estudiantes universitarios.(Fuente:PL)
