El Grupo International Airlines Group (IAG) mostró complacencia con los pasos previos a la salida del Reino Unido de la Unión Europea (UE), prevista para el 29 de marzo próximo.
En esa cuerda, el consejero delegado del IAG, Wille Walsh, dijo sentirse optimista de que el Reino Unido y la UE puedan llegar a un acuerdo de transporte aéreo exhaustivo.
Walsh mostró este entusiasmo durante la presentación de los resultados de 2018, en los que la compañía ganó dos mil 897 millones de euros, 44,2 por ciento más que en 2017, debido a partidas excepcionales y a pesar del alza del combustible.
Estos son los últimos resultados anuales de la compañía, formada por British Airways (BA), Iberia, Vueling y Aer Lingus, antes de que se haga efectivo el Brexit.
Walsh calificó este jueves de fantásticos estos resultados y dijo que IAG ya dejó claro que es una compañía española, y que cumplirá con la norma para operar en el Reino Unido y la UE después de la salida de ese país del club comunitario.
El informe, distribuido hoy en Bruselas, aclara algunas dudas en cuanto al transporte aéreo del viejo continente, e insufla optimismo a agentes de viajes y turoperadores.
Ante la incertidumbre del Brexit, el Consejo y el Parlamento europeos intentan un acuerdo político para ofrecer un plazo a aerolíneas con la finalidad de que reestructuren su accionariado y cumplan con los requisitos comunitarios.(Tomado de Radio Habana Cuba)
