Con trasparencia y muy a tono con lo que estipula la ley electoral concluyó en Colón al igual que en todo el país el referendo constitucional que este 24 de febrero demostró la incondicionalidad del pueblo a los principios que se defienden en nuestra isla caribeña.
Para el desarrollo de este ejercicio democrático, en el terruño con apellido almirante, se habilitaron 129 colegios electorales, sitios donde estaban creadas las condiciones y cada elector pudo acudir a ejercer su voto secreto tal como lo establece este proceso.
En ello se destacó la labor de los pioneros custodiando las urnas, la presencia de jóvenes evaluando la actividad y la seriedad y responsabilidad de los integrantes de mesas electorales, además de quien se encargaron de garantizan la calidad de esta tarea en los diferentes niveles.
Fue un evento histórico que demostró la continuidad de la revolución y que hizo revivir el reinicio de la gesta independentista del año 1895; durante las elecciones de este domingo se demostró cómo donde los cubanos asistieron a dar un sí por la constitución y la revolución .
